May 30th, 2009 @ 2:37 am

Trang & I took advantage of the 50% off NYX sale at cherryculture.com earlier this month, and its finally arrived :D!

Trang & I’s stuff combined

My stuff alone

Megashine L/G Smokey Look – Round L/G Ballerina Pink – Sorbet – Whipped

Round L/G Strawberry – Apriot – Round L/S Tea Rose – Strawberry Milk

Eyebrow Pencil Brown – Eye Pencil Baby Pink – White – Tea Rose – Strawberry Milk

243 – 227 – 233 – Carol

Overall, I am very happy with the items but I haven’t gotten the chance to try the concealer jar, the mosaic powder in highlighter, or the doll eye mascara yet. My favorite lipgloss is sorbert, and I’ve used it much more than any of the other ones. I just wish that I had bought more of it. Strawberry milk makes me look washed out, and tea rose is a bit too dark for me :X~

Speaking of make-up, currently working on another tutorial :3

Part Deux: New York, New York
May 27th, 2009 @ 2:17 pm

After a literally restless night, we headed off for New York early in the morning :). Gosh darn, freaking tall buildings suck, because they were messing with our Verizon GPS and we almost got lost, again ==;;~

SCENERY PICTURES

The Manhattan Brooklyn Bridge.

Gigantic Cruise ship

Marines ship.

This is Broadway. If you keep going down you’ll be in SoHo ♡

Chinatown GTA in Chinatown!

Lots of people with black bags. Black bags = Counterfeit/bootlegged stuff.

TONS of Coach/LV in those suitcases.

Unfortunately, we didn’t know there was almost three blocks of counterfeit sellers until we drove past them D;~ It was odd though, there was NYPD at every intersection and they didn’t do jack about those bags. Well, NYPD kinda doesn’t really do anything. We saw one guy walk-chasing someone and yelling at them very passively to stop while eating something ==;;! NYPD are jerks anyways.

Big Wong’s for breakfast (Its on Mott Street)

Robert&Leo

Amazing peking duck/pork with rice for $5, tax included!

Anyways, after a long day of shopping we headed out around 6:30ish to go home. We left New York, and went into New Jersey for “dinner” at White Castle :3 Which is actually really ghetto/sketchy. There aren’t any tables in there, just one small counter next to the window with tiny stools to sit on. There is a huge bullet proof glass between you and the cashier, and in order to give you your food, there’s a small box in the glass, and they open their side and put the food in, and you open your side to get the food. No human contact, whatsoever. It was actually in a pretty scary neighborhood. I thoughts we were going to get mugged D;

Outside.

Trang and her pork slider :3

The Crave Case. 30 Hamburgers for $20, but we got cheeseburgers so it was $26

I’ve never seen such a bigger waste of resources in my life.

Yum, mushy hamburgers.

After a horribly long&irritated ride home (thank goodness Leo switched seats with me, or some eyes would have been gauged out), Nam&Trang surprised me with another cake :D.

It says, “You’re No Longer 19!” because according to Trang, I was only 19 for one day, and that day passed.. Does that mean I can keep on passing off as a 18 year old :3? Anyways. onto to the
PURCHASES

Nam bought bootlegged turtles in Chinatown. One’s Turtle, and the other’s Squirtle. He already bought a full aquarium in his room since we’ve returned and babies them to death ==;;

UNIQLO, YAY! They got new bags for their Graphic Tees collection. Pacman, and some other mecha-looking anime.

Cell charms for $1 each :D. Deco tape was 3 for $1 :3

Zipper June 09 & Scawaii June 09 from Kinokuniya.

Their cute little gifts :)

I also bought some magazines from Book-off, but that probably wouldn’t interest youuuu. Anyways, thats all for our New York trip. Peace!

Part One
May 25th, 2009 @ 2:10 pm

[RANT]Mer, so Saturday was my birthday & to be honest, I got the whole weekend off thanks to my super caring managers (after they had realized their mistake). Although, I felt really bad because I just wanted to work since I felt like I was being whiny, it was a busy weekend, and I wasn’t planning to do anything. Why? Because I didn’t want to do anything. On Saturday, all I wanted to do was a) lock myself into my room and not have any human contact all weekend until it was over, or b) go to New York, which wasn’t very likely to happen. Honestly, I was in such a grumpy mood last week, I would have party pooped anything that was thrown for me, and if you surprised me with a cake, I probably would have smashed it back in your face to show my gratitude. That’s just how “emo” I was last week, and the only person who knew how desolate I was being was Leo. Everyone else just thought I was joking around :(

So Saturday, I woke up and sat around the house moping until 4PM when Leo got sick and tired of it and asked if I wanted to go to New York with my siblings. I didn’t think that they would really go, since it was so poorly unplanned and last minute, but Leo talked to them for me and got them to go. Nam invited a girl (who I will leave unpictured and unnamed just to protect her privacy, because I really dislike her with a passion), and Trang cancelled her VSA plans just to come with me. I knew Robert wanted to come, so I invited him on a whim. I didn’t really want anyone else to know because I didn’t have anything planned with anyone due to my emoness and I didn’t want it to be a huge diss in the face that I’m ditching people because of their economical status because it wasn’t. I have never chosen my friends because of how much money they have/don’t have. Robert & Trang both did not have that much money either, but they both expressed a “want” to go, so I invited them (that and because Trang is my sister). Even though I look back at it now as a ass-face move on my part, I don’t really have many regrets because a) it was my birthday that I was spending with my siblings (no matter how crazy or dysfunctional that they are, because they are family) and b) it was my birthday. I didn’t think anyone would get mad at me for doing what I wanted to do on my birthday. (Although excluding friends isn’t really what I wanted to do either which counts as a regret, it was mainly a family event plus a few extra friends so that we didn’t go crazy.)[/RANT]

Anyways, onto the story. So we left the house around 6:30PMish due to our poorly planning/packing, and it was because of all that poorly planned packing that we all forgot shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, q-tips, and our toothbrushes. Nam & I, however, both remembered to bring our respective facial cleansers. We didn’t hit any traffic, thankfully, but we did get lost in New York and Robert got a scary taste of being cut off by buses. But we finally got out and checked into our motel at the Econo Lodge. We then stopped by a local diner that Leo recommended for our late, late dinner.

The Plaza Diner

The outside.

Surprisingly clean for a New Jersey joint.

Yummy, baked goods & booze!

The crew.

The Plaza, where good friends siblings meet.

Mirror shot :O

Pretty chandelier.

Nam & his milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

My eggs, bacon, and home potatoes.

Robert & his omelet.

Leo & his panini.

Nam & Trang’s shared french toast (yummy!), sausages, and ice cream.

Happy birthday cheesecake! (15 minutes to late D;)

It was a really clean, yummy, and pretty diner. Although, apparently Leo said there was a dead cockroach laying in the vent right next to us :shiver: It was an interesting diner though. Where else can you encounter high/crunked teenage kids and rich business people (in fur coats!) in the same place? No where else, that’s where!

Afterwards, we retired to our motel for some sleepage. It was actually a pretty good deal though. For $120/night, we get two beds (one of ours was bigger than the others @_@;;), an unstocked fridge, a microwave, cable TV, and free wi-fi!

Not bad for $120/night for two beds :3

Awesome coat hangers :D

Asymmetrical is the new awesome!

Generic lubricated condoms and M&Ms for the late night snacker :3

Aside from that, I will probably never ever stay in a motel again! I forgot to take a picture, but you can literally wash your hands while peeing sitting down. Trang figured it out first when she used the tiny, tiny bathroom. Yes, my sister is weird. Nam also had trouble changing and kept on kneeing the sink. The walls were very thin and I couldn’t sleep because there are way too many hoochie mommas outside at night. The pillows were not fluffy, and the blanket was smelly & rough. Something with the inside ventilation made it really hard for me to breathe and I kept on coughing all night long D; So in the end, I just played Lemonade Tycoon on my iTouch until it died around 7:30AM.

Anyways, thats enough for part one, I’ll post the rest later. Peace v!

Story of my life.
May 20th, 2009 @ 11:20 pm

No that is not the story of my life, but its a cute video :D. Unfortunately, I find it extremely annoying after the first listen D;

ANYWAYS mall gossip, oooo~ scandalous! Sorry I haven’t been updating lately. I’ve been unmotivated and busy D;~ But today at work when we were closing, there was a hugeee argument outside our store. Apparently two different kiosks got into a fight because they sell like the same thing. A customer bought a necklace at Kiosk A for $56, and then found it at Kiosk B for $25 so she went back to return it at Kiosk A and bought it at Kiosk B. Apparently the Korean dude who owned Kiosk A got upset over that and walked over to the other kiosk to start an argumental fight and started threatening him. Of course my super manager was super brave and did stuff to stop it while everyone watched two Asian guys go at it. Woo~ Super cool.

My birthday is this weekend D;~ I always get super super super emo around my birthday. Its a Mai thing x:

Mother’s Day!
May 13th, 2009 @ 1:28 am

I hope everyone had a good mother’s day :). I know that my family and I sure did.

PHOTO DUMP

Leo’s family and my family both went together. (Hibachi is more fun that way, isn’t it?) The place was actually REALLY empty for mother’s day, and we were the last family there x__x;;~ Luckily we made reservations because they’re the kind of restaurant that closes early if there are no more customers. Either way, our cook turned out to be Vietnamese so our parents liked it even more since they had fun conversations and joked around a lot. Our chef was sooo sweet :). Not only that, but our food was REALLY good. In fact, I’m craving myself some yum yum sauce right now XD.
