Bánh ướt
(Translates to “wet bread”)

There are two types of Bánh ướt, one with meat and one without. The one I pictured above has meat but on the one in the plate doesn’t. I couldn’t take a picture of the meatless one cause my dad hoarded all of it before I had the chance. It’s a pretty simple dish & I think its easier to buy than make. Just get the rice noodles, add chả lụa, some mint leaves, bean sprouts (optional, CAUSE MAI DISLIKES!), & fish sauce and you are good to go (:~ Funny thing happened while I was taking these pictures. My dad finished his first plate and I didn’t even touch my food yet when he was like, “Are you full yet?” And I was like, “Uhh… No dad, I didn’t finish.” So then he was like, “Oh really? Okay that’s good.” And then he hoarded THE WHOLE PLATE OF FOOD, LITERALLY. First he was grabbing things with his chopsticks, but then he gave up and just got a spoon and started scooping it into his plate leaving Trang&I nothing. Thanks dad D:
