Mexican Institute of Sound/ Yo Digo Baila (Bufi Remix) by MexicanInstituteofSound
I think this track is banging & you should too.

This is turning out to the most exhausting summer vacation of my life. Most of the time, I’ve spent my summer vacations literally just laying around every single day on the computer & work. That’s it. That’s what my summer vacations have been like, extremely dull. However, with all of these new friends I’ve made this past school year, I’ve been continuously dragged out a lot & I’m exhausted! Work work work, play play play, work, play, work, play, work. I have yet to have a day where I just sit around and do nothing. Maybe today will be that day since I have a day off & I’m technically grounding myself because I have to finish cleaning out my old room today o; Either way, I’m not complaining, just observing. I’m going back to the homeland for a month so at least I’ll have a forced month break from work & these friendly activities.

SATURDAY

Saturday was my sister’s senior prom so I volunteered for a 9AM-1PM shift and rushed home to help her with her make up (:~ She did her eyeshadow and I helped out with the skin part & eyeliner (its because I don’t know how to use eyeshadow since I’ve never used it before D: ) Unfortunately, she decided to go in our backyard to tan a week ago, so her skin was way too dark for any of my foundations/bb cream so I had to mix my two shades of NARS concealer (from Phana, thanks!) to cover her skin. Sunny & I dropped her off at her friend’s house where her boyfriend, Joon, was waiting & then we headed off to the Fairfax Fair.

I think she learned how to pose while wearing heels to look shorter than him in pictures. I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THISSSSS O:

At the fair, we went on a few rides first and Sunny quickly got over his fear of amusement rides (we need to go to Kings Dominion & ride REAL rollercoasters now). After a few nauseating rides, we went to go look for food. We first ate at a Famous Dave’s booth (which I didn’t take pictures of cause too hungry) & I was still hungry ~_~;; There’s just something about eating at outside events that I can never get fully full from, whether it be fairs, picnics, or amusement parks, etc. So afterward, we saw a stand selling deep fried goodies! Even though my body reacts in a dying manner to anything unhealthy, I wanted to try it.

FATTIE ALERT.

5
I looked extremely tired, so I drew on my face D:

6
YOU’D MAKE THAT FACE TOO D:

7
Still hungry so got chocolate covered bananas. I like drawing on pictures, I need to do it more often. Sunny was trying to look bad ass, but now anymore since I drew on it :3~ I mean, I COULD’VE been crude & drew a penis since he is making a crude face, but I’M NICE (:

8
After wandering around a bit more, we got chicken on a stick.

9
Pretty fireworks (since I won’t be here for July 4th’s fireworks anyways)

10
View from the Ferris wheel (:

At the fair, they had a “hypnotist show” which Sunny & I dropped in for a bit to watch. It was pretty funny & I thought it was real hypnotism but my friend who was in the show and another spectator friend told me it was fake and they were all just playing along for the sake of the kids in the audience. Does this make me a kid since I believed it D: ?!!?! My level of gullibleness never ceases to amaze me |:

SUNDAY
After work on Sunday, I decided to grab dinner with Steven. Cali invited me to DC but since I had work early the next day, I had to decline. Steven took me to a place in downtown Vienna (which is a really nice place to walk around btw :{D) called Natta Thai. It’s a really cheap, not overpriced, nice, quaint, small place for Thai food.

Outfit shot. I’m in love with my Hello Kitty ring

Steven’s wild pork dish.

The Golden Triangles were pretty good. Its like crispy little bread things with cheese inside and you smear peanut sauce(?) all over it. My pad thai was EXTREMELY sweet. Way too sweet for my liking. It was so sweet, I must’ve eaten at least three giant clumps of sugar ~_~;; Steven’s wild pork was a huge contrast to my pad thai because it tasted a little like Indian curry, not sweet at all, and was spicy.

MONDAY
On Monday, I had to work a 6AM – 4PM shift. Why? Because we were going around marking a billion things down for clearance. At the company I work at, none of the clothes is ever marked down automatically, it has to be done manually. So what we do is looking at this sheet of paper with a billion numbers on it, and go through every single garment’s price tag and see if the tiny number on the tag matches to the one on the paper. If it is, we have to get a tag gun and mark it down manually ~_~;; WHATEVER! It was easy work, and I love working at 6AM because I don’t have to deal with shitty customers. At least hopefully I’ll be able to quit in August and find a job that might pay less, but has better morning hours.

Anyway, after four hours of sleep, nine hours of work, lack of food, and physical exhaustion, Sunny thought it would be fun to go row boating at Burke Lake Park even though my facial expression obviously showed differently. So we rowed to the middle of the lake, and out of no where it starts raining balls. We got instantly soaked down to our undies ;w;~ So we sadly & miserably rowed back to shore, where as soon as we got back, it stopped. I convinced Sunny to take me home so I could shower & change out of wet clothes because he wanted to go do something else. However, as soon as I reach my home, I showered and promptly collapsed from exhaustion&hunger onto my bed and canceled any further plans.

TUESDAY
On Tuesday, Cali gave me a prompt wake up call at 7:44AM because he wanted to drag me out to DC before work (sigh). He bought a “groupon” for Bourbon Coffee because he has a really bad case of addiction to coffee (I helped by introducing him to Starbuck’s espresso doubleshot D: ). We were going to back to the other place to get crepes but it was literally on the other side of the world. We passed by a different crepe place walking to Bourbon and I convinced Cali to eat there instead because I did not want to walk to the other side of the universe before work & we both enjoy trying new places. Unfortunately, everything on the menu had nutella (which Cali is allgeric to because he is allergic to hazelnut) except for a simple strawberry one since they did not have chocolate syrup substitute ):

I got a “Celine” (strawberries, nutella, marshmellows) & he got a “Mandy” (strawberries & powdered sugar)

The crepes ended up being way too sweet for us, so we just trashed the rest of it and walked around Dupont Circle. Apparently I was acting “drunk” according to Cali. It must have a been a mix of the huge amounts of caffeine, sugar, and lack of sleep~ We walked past various food shops and were hungry for something that was actually substantial, but it was lunch time so the lines for everything were out the door. We sat in the actual circle for a bit to people observe before heading back to Cali’s apartment so he could train me to play Modern Warfare. Geezus, I suck at CS, Halo, and now this D:
