I guess I have to blog about this trip eventually, so I’ll do it by day. (Pictures are either from Nam, Trang, or me.)

After absolutely no sleep, we left for the airport around 4AM & arrived in California sometime in the afternoon.

After waiting around a bit, we finally see our uncle arrive in a rental van to pick us up. But that’s not all, these little buggers were in the back seat!


Tyson | Leon
They’re my baby cousins ! I remember when they were still living with us, and were so tiny, they couldn’t even talk! Well, that was four years ago when I was an awkward freshman, but Trang&I still remembered them. They didn’t remember us though (LUCKY FOR ME~ I accidentally dropped Leon a bunch of times back then @__@;;) Leon actually goes by “LONG” now, but because I’ve been calling him Leon for the past five years of his life, I don’t give a frosted cupcake.

After that we went to our hotel, wash up a bit & went to eat Pho for lunch. Most of the good places were packed and we didn’t feel like waiting since Nam, Trang, & I were starving since we never went to sleep the night before, so we dropped by a random pho place. It was very mediocre, but we did get free ice cream as advertised!

Afterwards, my uncle took my mom&dad to a high school reunion picnic, so while waiting for him to get back, my siblings walked straight over to Lee’s Sandwiches (yes, right after we ate Pho D:). IMO, the place is much more overrated than I remembered. I forgot to take a picture, but my sandwich had SUPER red meat in it. Now, I know its not really cooked, but why is it dyed so red?! I nearly lost my appetite looking at it. Although, their Cafe Sua Da is really yummy! When our uncle picked us up, we went back the hotel to change out of our PJs (yeah, we all wore our jammies around the airports&such) and then met up with our parents at the picnic.

Addicted to the computer!

It was a pretty uneventful day. Leon&Tyson really wanted us to come over, but when we did only Tyson played with us because Leon is super mad addicted to the computer. He loves playing computer games, and threw a huge fit when he got kicked off. Can you believe that? Addicted to the computer at age five?! I didn’t start using the computer until I was 13. Eitherway, we didn’t get to see fireworks, which was sucky because Tyson was so excited D:
